This full-time, on-site role in Warrenton, VA involves managing communications with pilots, issuing clearances and instructions, and maintaining situational awareness of traffic patterns and weather conditions. Daily responsibilities include using radar, radio, and computer systems to sequence arrivals and departures, coordinating with adjacent facilities, and applying established procedures and regulations. The role also requires maintaining accurate logs, participating in briefings and training, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in air traffic operations. The Air Traffic Controller will work as part of a dedicated team focused on safety, reliability, and operational excellence.<br><strong>Qualifications<br></strong> <ul><li>Strong air traffic control skills, including aircraft separation, sequencing, and conflict resolution.</li><li>Proficiency with radar, communication, and computer-based air traffic management systems.</li><li>Solid understanding of FAA regulations, procedures, and NextGen/modernization concepts.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for clear, concise, and professional radio and interpersonal interactions.</li><li>Ability to maintain situational awareness, make rapid decisions, and perform under pressure.</li><li>Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping in a high-stakes operational environment.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.</li><li>Relevant air traffic control certification, training from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs require.</li><li>Commitment to safety, continuous learning, and adherence to established procedures and quality standards.</li></ul>
