An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the greenkeeping team at Kirkcudbright Community Golf Club, a well-established parkland course overlooking the historic town of Kirkcudbright, with views across the Dee Estuary and Galloway Hills.

Key Responsibilities

• Mowing of greens, tees, fairways, semi-rough and surrounding areas
• Course preparation for daily play, competitions and events
• General grounds maintenance and upkeep of the course, including strimming, hedge trimming, and painting signs, markers and posts
• Operating and maintaining mowers and other course maintenance equipment
• Bunker raking and general bunker maintenance

The ideal candidate will possess :

• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Willing to work early starts and some weekends
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
• PA1, PA2, PA6 and chainsaw certificates are an advantage but not essential.

Hours : Average of 40 hours per week

Salary : Dependent on experience
