JOB DETAILS Department: Finance and Accounting FTE: 1.00 (80 hours per pay period) Workdays: Monday - Friday Shift(s): Days Shift: Length: 8 hours Location: Remote Current List of non-MN States where Hennepin Healthcare is an Eligible Employer: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin.Purpose of this position: Under minimal supervision, partners with business leaders on financial issues related to their specific area of the organizationRESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Partners with all areas of organizational operations to provide financial stewardship & education and analytical support</li><li>Collects, analyzes, interprets, and presents data to operational management and financial staff</li><li>Understands the operational and financial issues facing a particular area, and partners with leadership to identify strategies and affect change</li><li>Uses financial tools to model the impact of decisions (cost benefit, return on investment, and other business performance analysis)</li><li>Provides customer-service-focused financial service to assigned areas </li><li>Maintains and improves financial systems and processes</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li><li>Position Control Analyst Scope:<ul><li>Helps to create and support the process for evaluating positions and their impact on the budget. This includes the close partnership with HR, ERP team and operations</li><li>Partners with HR and operations to provide analytical support on replacement and new positions</li><li>Report, monitor, and evaluate positions / FTE’s actual to budget variances</li></ul></li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business, including finance and accounting coursework</li><li>3+ years of experience in a relevant position -OR-</li><li>An approved equivalent combination of education and experience</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Masters degree in Finance or Business (MBA or CPA) </li><li>Previous healthcare experience</li></ul>Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:<ul><li>Expert knowledge of Excel, and experience in Word, Access (relational databases), PowerPoint, General Ledger systems, and other reporting tools</li><li>Detail and deadline oriented</li><li>Excellent accuracy in analysis and cost-benefit analysis</li><li>Ability to assist operational leaders as to their business needs</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li></ul>
